We are proud to announce that Regent College has been appointed as an Accredited Examination Centre for Pearson Language Assessments (PLA).

Pearson Language Assessments

The Pearson Group is an international educational group which includes such well known companies as Longman, Penquin and The Financial Times. Pearson Language Assessments is a division of the company which deals with world-wide language assessment testing. In cooperation with EDEXEL, which is the largest grading center in Great Britain, PLA uses a computer registration system. This greatly shortens the waiting time for people who have taken the exam to receive their certificates.

Exams

PLA produces and conducts two types of language tests: The London Tests of English (for people over 14 years of age) and The London Tests of English for Children - which are primarily designed to evaluate a child's ability to use the language and not their knowledge of specific grammar rules. PLA exams are designed specifically with an emphasis on communicative abilities.

The level 4 and 5 LTE Exams are recognized when applying to colleges and universities in the United Kingdom. PLA is also actively pursuing recognition by Polish Universities for applicants who have passed the LTE exam.
